Sonetics Corporation

Privacy Policy

Effective date: May, 2026

Introduction

Your privacy is important! We encourage you to read this Privacy Policy to understand the information we collect, how we use it, and the choices available to you.

This Privacy Policy applies to the information we collect in the course of our business, including through Sonetics, Flightcom, and Firecom websites, products, services, marketing activities, trade shows and events, and other online or offline interactions operated by or on behalf of Sonetics. By using our services, you agree to this Privacy Policy and that we may process, transfer, and store your information.

When we use the terms “Sonetics,” “we,” or “us” in this Privacy Policy, we’re referring to Sonetics Corporation and its affiliated entities under common ownership and control. Our contact information is provided in the “Sonetics contact information” section below.

The information we collect

The information we collect about you depends on the Services you use, how you use them, and the information you provide to us.

We collect information in three main ways: (1) information you provide directly to us; (2) information we collect automatically through technology when you use the Services; and (3) information we collect from other sources.

Information you provide directly to us

When you use our Services, you may provide certain information to us. For example, we collect information directly from you when you fill out a form on our website, request a demo, place an order, create an account, contact customer support, or interact with us at an event.

Some of the most common categories of information we collect directly from you include:

  • Contact information submitted through our forms includes first and last name, phone number, email address, company name, city, and state.
  • Account information, such as login credentials for our online store and customer portals.
  • Financial and transactional information, such as billing and shipping addresses, payment details processed by our payment provider, and purchase and order history.
  • Customer service interaction information, such as messages submitted through online forms, email, or phone, and notes or recordings of interactions with our customer service team.
  • Event information, such as contact details you share at trade shows, conferences, and other events, including business cards and information collected through event registration or lead-retrieval tools.

Information we collect automatically through technology when you use the Services

When you use our Services, we may automatically collect certain information. We use a variety of third-party technologies, including cookies and similar tools, to assist in collecting this information. Please refer to our Cookie Notice and the “Online analytics and advertising” section below for further information.

Some of the information we automatically collect when you use our Services includes:

  • Information about your access to and use of Sonetics websites and emails, such as your IP address, browser language, the state or country from which you accessed the Services, software and hardware attributes (including device IDs, operating system, and browser type), referring and exit URLs, the links you click and files you download, pages viewed and the order of those pages, the amount of time spent on particular pages, the date and time you accessed our websites or opened our emails, and other similar information.
  • General location information (such as city or state), which may be collected or derived from your IP address. We do not collect precise GPS location through our websites.

Information we collect from other sources

We may receive information about you from other sources, such as business partners, event organizers, advertising and analytics partners, and other parties to help us supplement our records.

If you interact with us through a third-party website or social media platform, we may receive information about you from that platform, depending on the third-party’s data practices and your settings (for example, your name, email address, and any content you post). Sonetics is not responsible for the content or practices of third-party websites or platforms. We urge you to read the privacy and security policies of any third-party websites or platforms you choose to use.

De-identified data

We may de-identify information we collect so the information cannot reasonably identify you or your device, or we may collect information that is already in de-identified form. Our use and disclosure of de-identified information is not subject to any restrictions under this Privacy Policy.

Cookies and similar technologies

We collect information through cookies and other similar technologies when you visit our websites. Please see our Cookie Notice to learn more.

Advertising & Online analytics

Online advertising

Sonetics strives to provide you with relevant, value-added content in our online advertisements. We work with online advertising partners, including Google and Meta (Facebook and Instagram), to: (1) better understand the use of our Services so we can improve them; and (2) deliver Sonetics advertisements that are more tailored to you, both on our Services and on third-party services.

Our partners may place cookies, pixels (including Google tags and the Meta Pixel), and similar technologies on our websites and other online services. They use these technologies to collect information about your activities in order to deliver more relevant advertising and to measure the performance of our campaigns. For example, they may use this information to show you Sonetics ads on Google search, YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, and other sites you visit.

We may also provide basic information we collect (such as hashed email addresses) to advertising service providers, who may match this information to their own user records to build custom audiences, lookalike audiences, and to measure conversions from our ads.

You can learn how to opt out of receiving personalized online advertisements from our advertising partners by following the instructions in the “Your rights and choices” section below and through our Cookie Notice.

Online analytics

We use third-party analytics services on our Services, such as Google Analytics. These service providers may set and access their own cookies, pixels, and similar technologies on our Services to collect information that helps us understand how users arrive at and use our Services.

If you do not want Google Analytics to collect and use information about your use of our websites, you can install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. You may also opt out of Google’s personalized advertising by using Google’s Ads Settings.

How we use your information

Sonetics may use the information we collect in the following ways:

  • To provide the Services you have requested, such as completing purchases, quote requests, providing customer support, or shipping.
  • To communicate with you by email, including sending order & shipping confirmation/notifications, product and software updates, and changes to our terms, conditions, and policies.
  • For marketing and advertising purposes, including sending email product announcements, event invitations, and other marketing communications, and serving ads on Google and Meta platforms.
  • To improve our Services, including troubleshooting, understanding how users interact with our websites and advertisements, performing research and analytics, and developing new products, features, and services.
  • For our business operations, including managing your account, security, and legal compliance.
  • To recognize you across multiple touchpoints. Our service providers or we may use information we collect (such as email address, IP address, and unique device identifiers) to identify the same user across multiple Sonetics Services, devices, and browsers, in order to provide a more personalized experience.
  • Other purposes for which we seek your consent. We may also use your information for a specific purpose that we communicate to you, and we will ask for your consent in accordance with applicable legal requirements.

The laws in some jurisdictions require companies to tell you about the legal grounds they rely on to process your information. Our legal bases for processing your information are as follows:

  • Where use of your information is necessary to perform our obligations under a contract or commitment to you (for example, to provide the Services you have requested or to comply with our website terms of service).
  • Where use of your information furthers our legitimate interests or the legitimate interests of others (for example, to operate our business, secure our Services, make and receive payments, defend our legal rights, and prevent fraud).
  • We use your information to comply with applicable legal obligations (for example, keeping records of purchases for tax and auditing purposes).
  • Where you have consented to our processing of your information for a particular purpose.

For the purposes discussed in this Privacy Policy, we may combine the information we collect through the Services with information we receive from other sources, both online and offline, and use such combined information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

How we disclose your information

Sonetics may disclose your information in the following ways:

Service providers

We use select third-party vendors to help us provide our Services and operate our business, and we may provide access to or disclose your information to these vendors. They provide a variety of services to us, including customer service, payment processing, shipping, sales and marketing, email delivery, data storage, security, fraud prevention, research, and legal services. These service providers are permitted to access and use your information only for the purposes of performing services for Sonetics or to comply with applicable legal requirements.

Online advertising partners

As discussed in the “Online advertising” section above, we may share certain information about you — such as hashed email addresses, device identifiers, and information about your activity on our websites — with our online advertising partners, including Google, LinkedIn, and Meta.

Protection of Sonetics and others

We may disclose the information we collect about you if required to do so by law or in a good faith belief that such disclosure is reasonably necessary to: (a) comply with legal process, such as a subpoena or court order; (b) enforce our terms of sale, this Privacy Policy, or other contracts with you, including investigation of potential violations; (c) respond to claims that any content violates the rights of third parties; or (d) protect the rights, property, or personal safety of Sonetics or others.

SMS and mobile information

If you provide a mobile phone number through our forms and consent to receive text messages, we will not share your mobile phone number or SMS opt-in information with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes.

Children’s privacy

Our Services are intended for general business audiences and are not directed at children. If we become aware that we have collected information without legally valid parental consent from children under an age where such consent is required, we will take reasonable steps to delete it as soon as possible.

Security and retention of your information

Security of your information

We are committed to protecting your information. We use a variety of technical, physical, and organizational security measures designed to protect against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction of information. However, no security measures are perfect or impenetrable, and we cannot guarantee the security of your information.

If you have an account with us, please select a strong password and do not disclose it to others. Alert us immediately if you have any concerns about unauthorized use of your account.

Retention of your information

We retain information for different periods of time depending on the purposes for which we collect and use it, as described in this Privacy Policy. We will delete or de-identify information when it is no longer needed to fulfill these purposes, unless a longer retention period is required to comply with applicable laws.

Your rights and choices

We provide you with the ability to exercise certain controls and choices regarding our collection, use, and disclosure of your information. Your legal rights to exercise such controls and choices vary based on the laws of your jurisdiction.

You may request the following by contacting us as detailed in the “Sonetics contact information” section below:

  • Access to, or a copy of, your information
  • Confirmation that we are processing your information
  • Correction or amendment of your information
  • Deletion of your information
  • Transfer of your information to a third party
  • Restriction or objection to certain uses of your information

If you have provided consent for us to use your information for a specific purpose, you may also request to withdraw that consent.

Under the laws in certain U.S. jurisdictions, you also have the right to opt out of our processing or sharing of your information for online targeted advertising purposes. While we do not sell your information in exchange for money, we may use online advertising tools — such as those provided by Google and Meta — that result in the disclosure of your information to our third-party partners, and that may be subject to this opt-out right under applicable law.

We may ask you to provide information necessary to reasonably verify your identity before responding to your request. We will consider all requests and provide our response within the time period required by applicable law. Please note that certain information may be exempt from such requests. If we deny your request in whole or in part, you may have the right to appeal the decision, and we will provide you with information regarding the appeals process.

You also have the choice to exercise the following controls regarding your information:

  • Limit the information you provide to us. When you interact with us, you can choose to limit the information you provide. However, if you choose to do so, you may not be able to take advantage of some of our Services, and we may not be able to fulfill your requests.
  • Opt out of marketing emails from Sonetics by following the instructions located at the bottom of our marketing emails.
  • Opt out of text (SMS) messages from Sonetics by replying STOP to any message we send.
  • Disable analytics and advertising cookies managed by our third-party partners by following the instructions in our Cookie Notice. Where supported, we honor Global Privacy Control signals as opt-out requests for targeted advertising.

Please note, opting out of marketing communications will not prevent you from receiving communications about your orders, product or software updates, or other important notices such as changes to our terms and policies, which are not marketing in nature.

Information for international users

We operate primarily in the United States and may transfer, store, and process your information in the United States and other countries for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy. Wherever your information is transferred, stored, or processed by us, we take reasonable steps to protect it in accordance with this Privacy Policy and applicable laws. These measures may include implementing Standard Contractual Clauses or other means recognized by applicable laws. By providing us with your information, you acknowledge any such transfer, storage, or processing.

If you have any concerns or complaints about our data processing activities, we urge you to first try to resolve them directly with us. However, if applicable, you may make a complaint to the data protection supervisory authority in the country where you are based, or seek a remedy through local courts if you believe your rights have been breached.

Changes to our Privacy Policy

We strive to continuously improve; as a result change or update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in the law, our data collection and use practices, the features of our Services, or advances in technology. You should review the Privacy Policy periodically, and you can tell whether the Privacy Policy has changed since the last time you reviewed it by checking the “Effective date” at the beginning of the document. By continuing to use the Services, you confirm that you have read and understood the latest version of this Privacy Policy. If we make material changes to the Policy, we will provide notice through our Services or by other means in accordance with applicable legal requirements.
