ACCESS+

ACCESS+ is a user-friendly mainframe computer information retrieval system. It operates in both the CICS online environment for queries and simple reporting and in batch for more voluminous data retreival and reporting.

ACCESS+ is setup and controlled by information systems departments through the ACCESS+ Maintenance System (CICS transaction AIMS) whose documentation is found in the Sonetics-provided ACCESS+ Maintenance System manual.

Typically end-user departments use the ACCESS+ Request System (CICS transaction AIRS) to create and run their own CICS queries and batch reports—empowering these departments while relieving their information systems departments of these tasks.

The ACCESS+ Reference System Manual very specifically covers the concepts and technical knowledge for using the ACCESS+ Request System.

The ACCESS+ Users Guide is based on "learning by example". It is a series of online tutorials that, taken sequentially, systematically introduce users to the ACCESS+ Request System.

Technical support is provided by two of its original three developers—Mike Wood and Larry Edwards.
